About Summer

Summer Greenlees has over 25 years of experience as a Licensed Massage Therapist and Certified Yoga Instructor.
Her yoga class series, Yoga Renewal / Yoga Nature, taught privately or in a small group session, provides a foundation for the beginner or seasoned yoga practitioner to discover or re-discover his or her own way of moving, breathing, and being in a yoga practice that is truly integrative and supportive of their highest well-being and personal wellness goals.
Summer’s Watsu and Massage Therapy services complement the Yoga Renewal Series. Each modality that Summer offers weaves together to support your wellness awakening dynamically and potently.
Sessions with Summer support you in a gentle yet profound, deep dive into discovering yourself more deeply, awakening your natural support and way of being in your body and life.
Summer uses tools from Massage Therapy, Myofascial Release, Ebb and Flow Integration, Embodied, Somatic Yoga, Developmental Movement Repatterning, Bodywork for the Childbearing Year, Ashiatsu, Zen Shiatsu, Acupressure, Prenatal, and Postnatal Yoga, 12 years experience as a Birth Doula, Watsu, Healing Dance, and her own personal experiences utilizing these combined tools as a Mother of 3 and a Wellness Professional, to inform her work, life, and her practice.
Summer attends enrichment training regularly with her teachers and mentors.
Summer is an engaged student with Amrita Choudhury in Nrityoga and Mudra Vigyan.
She also studies online courses regularly with Donna Farhi in Yoga practice and Yoga teaching and Bonnie Bainbridge Cohen in embodied anatomy studies and Body Mind Centering.
Summer attends Watsu and Healing Dance training once or twice a year with Watsu and Healing Dance Instructor Ahara Vatter.
Working with Summer
Working with Summer is unique because she teaches with an inquiry-based approach in her yoga classes. She combines different healing modalities to best suit each individual that comes to her for Massage, Watsu, or Yoga.
Summer believes she is learning from her students and clients as much as she gives, teaches, and offers them support, healing techniques, and practices. Through listening deeply, skillful touch and repatterning, and holding a safe and conscious space with her clients, She assists them in becoming more self-aware and self-empowered with their embodied anatomy awareness, movement patterning and breathing awareness, self-healing bodywork practices, relationship with self and other, yoga asana practices, meditative and restorative practices and support on their path of radiant, regenerative health and wellness of mind, body, and spirit.
Summer’s goal is to help make it easier for people to live their healthiest, most empowered, happiest lives with these tools, supporting them to sustainably integrate these practices and awareness into their everyday life.
When you become Summer’s client, she considers herself one of your team members or circle of support. Summer loves to provide referrals and often gives and receives referrals within the Austin Wellness Communities.
